I usually find it quite pointless when magazines try to recreate a print experience online. NEWWORK is one of the few exceptions I’ve seen. The site is a simple side scrolling experience with an elegant semi-translucent overlay of the issue number. The large-format pages actually reduce down very well, and the site does a great job of letting the viewer experiencing the magazine in a totally different way.

Faith 47 is a street artist based out of Cape Town. The immersive panoramic samples on her website demonstrate her incredibly wide range. Some of her work is beautifully documented in this video.

Someone at the office recently pointed me to a great resource for interaction design. Konigi collects great examples of interaction techniques, interactive design, and how-to’s from around the web. You won’t find burning points of view or an active dialog here, but you will get a simply organized, easy to browse, powerful visual reference that should prove extremely useful for design research and internal conversation starters.

A recent post from Flowing Data led me to the website for the Portland agency Instrument. Last summer they completed an application for Google that beautifully visualizes the social influence of content across the Internet over time.
Would love to get my hands on this, but it looks like an internal Google R&D effort.

Poster Boy is a NYC based street artist. Using only a razor, he remixes elements from the advertisements found in the New York subway system to form beautiful (and illegal) works of art. Check out a short video to see him in action or his photos on Flickr.
